André Betting: new Executive Director
Van Leer Group Foundation
Amstelveen, March 14, 2007 - André Betting (45) will
be appointed as Executive Director of the Van Leer Group Foundation as per
October 1, 2007. He will succeed Rien van Gendt (64), who is retiring.
As per October 1, 2007 Van Gendt will join the Governing Council of the
Van Leer Group Foundation and the Board of Trustees of the Bernard van Leer
Foundation.
Betting has been employed as Director Financing at the Financing Directorate
of the Ministry of Finance. In this position he was responsible for the
policy regarding all state participations and the development of the public/private
partnerships.
The Van Leer Group Foundation is a charitable foundation with a holding function for the so called Van Leer Entity. The charity activities of the Van Leer Entity are executed by the Bernard van Leer Foundation, the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute and the Jerusalem Film Centre. As an instrument for realizing the charity purposes the Van Leer Group Foundation is also responsible for the asset management of the Van Leer Entity.
